Donation details

What your donation does. To the rupee.

Cognitud Foundation does not have a price list — every donation, big or small, is welcome. The amounts below are suggested anchors that map to specific units of work. Pick what feels right.

Suggested donation amounts

₹1,500 — Two months of a child's programme

Covers a child's share of learning materials, snacks and one-on-one teaching support for two months. A good entry point.

₹6,000 — One child, one year

The full annual cost of putting one child through our programme. This is the amount we anchor against, because it represents a complete unit of work — a child taken from where they are today to where they should be a year from now.

₹30,000 — Five children, one year

Sponsors a cohort of five children for a year. We send you a half-yearly progress update on the cohort, with anonymised assessment data.

Any other amount

Whatever you can give is genuinely welcome. We treat a ₹100 donation with the same diligence as a ₹1,00,000 donation.

How ₹6,000 is allocated

The annual per-child cost of ₹6,000 is allocated as follows:

  • Teaching & salary share — ₹3,300 (55%) toward our community educators' compensation.
  • Materials — ₹900 (15%) for books, workbooks, stationery and supplementary learning aids.
  • Assessment & measurement — ₹600 (10%) for independent assessment and outcome tracking.
  • Household engagement — ₹600 (10%) for home visits, parent meetings and family support.
  • Programme operations — ₹600 (10%) toward space, utilities and direct programme overhead.

Foundation-level governance and administration costs are covered separately, by the founders and a small set of governance donors. Your donation goes entirely to the field.
